Assignments¶
Students will read and make presentations on academic papers related to CPS and IoT security.
A tentative list of papers to discuss and presentation schedule are here.
Email the instructor if you want to discuss a paper not on the list within the scope of this class.

Paper questions¶
Students are expected to read a research paper assigned as reading and submit at least three questions about the paper.
Submission is due one day before each class meeting (midnight CST).
Submit your questions to the instructor via email.
Make sure to write the email in the following format:
Subject: [cs6301.005-f21] paper questions MM/DD # MM/DD: date of the class meeting to discuss the paper * Name: ... * NetID: ... * Paper title: ... * Q1: ... * Q2: ... * Q3: ... ...
Student assigned to make presentation on the paper is exempted from submitting the paper questions.
Submission will be evaluated on the number of valid questions:

Paper presentation¶
Each student will be required to make 2-4 paper presentations over the semester.
A presentation should be 30 minutes long in total (20min presentation + 10min Q&A).
Student with an assigned presentation must prepare detailed slides of the paper.
Submission of the slides is due one day before each class meeting (midnight CST).
Submit your slides to the instructor via email.
Make sure to write the email in the following format:
Subject: [cs6301.005-f21] paper slides MM/DD # MM/DD: date of the class meeting to discuss the paper * Name: ... * NetID: ... * Paper title: ... # IMPORTANT: Make sure to attach the slides file in PDF!
Failure to make presentation in the class on time may result in an F grade. Make sure to start preparing early.
During presentation, the presentor must address the questions submitted by other students and also other questions that come up during the Q&A.
Presentation will be evaluated on: (1) the length of presentation (not too short, not too long), (2) the clarity of presentation, and (3) how well the presentor addresses the questions:
