Course Project

Students will work on a hands-on team project throughout the semester. Each project team will consist of two students.

If the total number of enrolled students is odd, one team will consist of three students. The three-student team will be determined by the instructor; students may not form a three-student team on their own.

Note

Email the instructor your team members before the class meeting on Aug 31. If no email is received, the instructor will decide your team.

Project topics are open to student proposals, subject to instructor approval. Example topics include:

  • Designing Cyber-Physical Attacks on a Robotic Aerial Vehicle

  • Exploiting Security Vulnerabilities in a Real-Time Operating System

  • Attacking a Self-Driving System with Adversarial Examples

Each team will give three formal presentations during class meetings, and submit the following project materials. The detailed instructions on the following pages are subject to change:

The course project will be 80% of your total grade (10+15+25+30 = 80).
