Project Pitch Presentation

  • Presentation should be 15 minutes long including Q&A.

  • The presentation should be evenly divided among the team members, so each team member gives roughly the same amount of the presentation.

  • Every project team must submit the presentation slides to the instructor via email before the class meeting on Sep 23.

  • Cover the following topics in the presentation:

    Topic

    Questions to address

    Problem

    • What problem in CPS security are you trying to solve?

    • Why is this problem important?

    Threat Model

    • What security threats or risks motivate this project?

    Existing Work

    • Has prior work tried to address the same or similar problems?

    • What are the limitations of the existing work?

    Solution

    • What do you propose to design, implement, or investigate?

    • How does your proposed work address the limitations of existing work?

    • What is novel about your proposed work?

    Evaluation Plan

    • How are you going to evaluate your proposed work?

    • What experiments and metrics are appropriate to evaluate your project?

    Timeline

    • What milestones do you have on the project timeline?

    • What are the responsibilities of each team member?

    • Is the proposed work feasible within the remaining time in the semester?

  • Make sure to write the email in the following format:

  • Presentation will be evaluated on:

    1. How well the team addresses the above questions.

    2. The novelty of the proposed work considering the prior work.

    3. The quality of the evaluation plan.

    4. The feasibility of completing the proposed work within the semester.

    5. The quality of the presentation (evaluated separately for each team member).
